About Michael Franko
Michael Franko is a longtime Plainsboro, New Jersey, commodities trader who serves as managing member of Paddock Court Trading. Coordinating a hedge fund and commodity trading advisor (CTA), Michael Franko delivers services that reflect extensive market research. He also oversees risk aspects of the operations.
After earning his BS in political science and economics at Bucknell University, Mr. Franko started working in the commodity business in the early 1980s. He initially worked for the Marmon Group (owned by Pritzker) within the physical traffic department. He subsequently took responsibilities with departments such as clearing, sales, and foreign exchange. In his first trading position, he was instrumental in forming an options trading department and managing risk while developing accurate pricing models.
Mr. Franko has extensive knowledge of macroeconomic events that drive changes in pricing worldwide. Active in his professional community, he has served on the New York Commodity Exchange’s Copper Advisory Board.
